On February 4, 2025, around 12:30 PM local time, a 35-year-old man armed with an automatic weapon opened fire at Campus Risbergska, an adult education center in Orebro, central Sweden. The assailant, who was not previously known to police, is believed to be among the deceased. Authorities have stated that no children were harmed in the attack, as the institution primarily serves adults, including immigrants learning Swedish and individuals pursuing vocational training.
Emergency services responded swiftly, evacuating the area and attending to the injured. Six individuals have been hospitalized, with one reported to be in serious condition.
